Not a huge change, but I added in the two new fleet support upgrades and also changed the Slicer Tools advice (still awaiting the new card image) based on the updated version. I also changed up advice here and there where it previously referred only to flotillas. With the Transport Hardcell and Radiant title Charger able to bring fleet support upgrades, assumptions of these being on flotillas were upended.
Side note #1: did you know an Engine Techs Radiant can move speed 4+1 with Engine Techs and then Slicer Tools you from distance 1-3 away? Rude.
Side note #2: We've got almost two dozen new articles dropping shortly after midnight with all the new Clone Wars stuff so I hope you like reading!
The Resupply upgrades added were:
It makes perfect sense to send our stupidest robots to transport our most explosive ordnance. |
- It starts with 5 concentrate fire tokens on the card. They can only be used by this card.
- It doesn't ready normally. You must discard a non-squadron command token on its ship to ready it when all cards ready during the Status Phase.
- It triggers after you reveal your command dial. As I usually advise, if you tend to forget this trigger, put this card on top your command dial stack so it's easy to remember.
- You can assign a token to yourself if you wish. It makes it easier to ready the card later if you're desperate.
Munitions
Resupply, like all the Resupply cards, will immediately draw a
comparison to Comms Net. Why should I pay one more point to only be able
to give out one kind of token? If you were planning to run your ship as
a Comms Net slave and not much else, there isn't really much of a good
reason. That said, Munitions Resupply is handy for ships that want to
give out a lot of concentrate fire tokens once or twice during the game
and then scoot off to do other things. With that kind of plan, they work
great but usually moreso for Clone Wars era ships.
It makes perfect sense to send our stupidest infantry to transport our most vital ship parts. |
Parts Resupply is the repair version of Munitions Resupply, just above. Easy peasy. the commentary is the same: do you want a lot of repair tokens really quick and then off goes your fleet support ship to do other, more important things? Then use Parts Resupply.
Have you considered adding something like "Updated December 2020" to the top of updated posts as you make changes? Right now the only date is the original post date which doesn't reflect all the work you've put in since.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea and hopefully I remember that when I get to the pile of articles I need to update after I take a break for a day or two. The plan is to go through basically everything we've written and make sure it's 1.5 compliant so it may take a little while before everything is up to speed.
