Article updates 11/10

John and I had a great time at the Pastimes tournament we went to on Saturday, and I ended up at 2nd with an SSD fleet, which was fun! I made a few last-minute changes and they worked out great, so I was pleased with that as it was a little nerve-wracking. Thanks for coming out, everyone who joined us!

Look at those sweet acrylic obstacles!
It's a little blurry, but there's the final standings. John came in 13th out of 22 people, but was playing a "for the lols" Leia fleet, so not doing worse is its own accomplishment.
Anyways, I've continued to update articles, including a few due to some experiences I had at the tournament:
  • Clarified that Infested Fields does not let squadrons deployed overlapping obstacles pick up the objective tokens. They need to end a move overlapping an obstacle.
  • Mentioned that the extra maneuver from Rift Ambush can, in fact, allow you to trigger Fighter Coordination Team twice in one round (for extra stupid fun an Officer Ozzel FCT ship could trigger 3 times in the first round in Rift Ambush under ideal circumstances).
  • Mentioned that Hyperspace Migration has the noted downside that SSDs love tight pockets of ships all in one place going whale watching.
  • Updated the Arquitens article(again!), specifically the defensive retrofits section. Broke down my top 3 choices and specifically added Advanced Projectors. Ian Cross used Advanced Projector Arqs quite well in the game we had at the tournament. I'm still a little skeptical of equipping Arqs with defensive retrofits by default(I want them as cheap as I can get them usually), but in his fleet (3 Arqs, 1 Gozanti, a blob of Rogues) he needed his Arqs to stick around as long as possible and Advanced Projectors did solid work for him.
  •  Gave the Raider article an overhaul, which included:
    • Standard adding in hyperlinks where appropriate, cleaning up some text here and there.
    • Shortened sections that are effectively repeated in the "how to black dice" article and linked to said article.
    • Mentioned the dangers of long-ranged snipe specialists and large quantities of squadrons when you can't respond and provided tips on what to do about those.
    • Upgrades format standardized and updated.
      • Discussed Versio a bit more.
      • Added Reserve Hangar Decks and Advanced Transponder Network and Darth Vader boarding team (which I really should've added earlier, but I digress).
    • Builds toggled a bit, especially the Raider-I. Dropped two antiquated builds, added a new one (Vader Raider, should've been there earlier).
    • Raider-II section cleaned up and elaborated more on how it's used differently from a Raider-I.
    • Removed the "Raider friends commanders" section. I'll be adding "ships this commander likes" to all the updated (we're getting there eventually) Imperial commander articles after they're all removed from the Imperial ship articles.
I've got just the SSD and VSD articles left to update for Imperial ships and then on to Imperial commanders. John (and I'm helping but 80%+ of those articles are his effort) is also working on refreshing the squadron articles. Lots of maintenance going on right now, so bear with us!

    1. Eric, Impetuous can't attack mines, but ord Pods can
"You may perform an attack against 1 enemy squadron"
The mine is a Token, not a squadron.
You just use anti squadron dice
Compare this to Ord Pods which is "At the end of your Attack Step, you may exhaust this card and choose 1 of your hull zones. Then perform an attack from that hull zone with an anti-squadron armament of 1 black die, even if you have already attacked from that zone this round."
Note that Ord pods is "an attack" with an "anti squadron armament".

      1. Yep, you're right. Editing articles late at night can lead to brain farts, unfortunately. It's been fixed.
