I don't suppose the 7th fleet title works on SSDs?
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't, unfortunately. While we all call it an SSD, it is actually a Star Dreadnought, not a Star Destroyer.
DeleteNomenclature is weird. I don't think anyone refers to it as a dreadnought in the original trilogy while Ackbar explicitly calls it a Super Star Destroyer. You'd think that the most senior rebel fleet officer should be able to identify enemy ship classes.
DeleteAt the same time, it doesn't make any sense for a 1.6km ship and a 19km ship to both be destroyers, but if we're going to to slap earthly naval terms onto Star Wars ships, the tiny Gladiator should be a Star Frigate or something.
Also maybe you might want to revise the VSD only having mediocre titles now that Harrow is a thing.
ReplyDeleteThat's fair. Harrow is pretty legit, and I hadn't thought to check this article for older VSD title bad-mouthing, although I did clean it up in the original VSD article.
