Because it is your (you, ship) 'attack step', which only happens during your activation after you reveal a command dial, Ordnance Pods would not be usable during a Salvo Attack. The wording between 'attack', 'attack step' is the key to the interpretation! The Attack Step ...I do not believe that is correct. The Attack Step is the second step of Ship Activation (per the rules reference guide) and a ship executing a salvo defense token effect is doing an attack sequence but isn't activating and hasn't finished the Attack Step.

Sure wish they'd used clearer words on this, but that's FFG/AMG for you.Eric Taylorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10721846237539911453noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6899368611583210454.post-10154342303490079672023-11-02T10:55:07.144-05:002023-11-02T10:55:07.144-05:00I believe you can also activate Ordnance Pods afte...I believe you can also activate Ordnance Pods after Salvo'ing a squadron, and could then perform that one black anti-squad die attack against every squadron in a given arc. Go equip Hardened Bulkheads and bully slow medium ships like Munificents, Victories and Interdictors.kkjhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10949454975763688796noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6899368611583210454.post-40913438826721695472020-06-25T16:56:08.405-05:002020-06-25T16:56:08.405-05:00Yesss, Missile Revolver. APTs do have the slight possibility of hitting one of the anti-shield criticals (best being Projector Misalinged) and by getting enough hull damage on a ship like an MC30 or (less frequently) Assault Frigate, you can just ram it to death, shields or no. ACMs are definitely better against something big and hefty like an MC80 where hull damage and ramming just won't be sufficient.Eric Taylorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10721846237539911453noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6899368611583210454.post-21383653805271170612017-05-31T14:04:13.237-05:002017-05-31T14:04:13.237-05:00Another thing: ACM(s) is a decent counter to Advan...Another thing: ACM(s) is a decent counter to Advanced Projectors. They can't get the extra redirect if there is nothing to redirect to. Obviously XI7 is better, but Demo with ACM is a good choice over APTs if APs are common in your meta.KDax52https://www.blogger.com/profile/15355814025567659446noreply@blogger.com
